AGREEMENT TERMS

RESERVATION
The number of rooms/apartments to be provided by Wilhelmsen House Apartments, hereinafter (WH) shall be stated in the confirmation. WH does its best to ensure that special requests are met, but cannot guarantee this. Residents must be over 18 years of age.

ACCOMMODATION DORMITORY
The apartment/room is at Wilhelmsen House, Halfdan Wilhelmsens allé 22, 3116 Tønsberg. Submission of this agreement is considered delivery of the service. The accommodation is accepted “as is” in accordance with the information, drawings and pictures on www.wh.no. The customer must accept minor deviations from the information provided about the accommodation.

VALIDITY OF THE AGREEMENT
The agreed from-to dates and prices are binding on both parties.

PAYMENT

The agreed amount for the stay must be paid by credit card/bank card before the start of the stay. For long-term rentals, payment must be made monthly in advance. *Invoice customers will be sent an invoice for the stay. WH reserves the right to adjust prices as a result of changed costs due to increased taxes and fees or other circumstances beyond WH's control. Such price adjustments must be notified, and shall not come into effect until 1 month after the notification.

NB: When booking a stay via a 3rd party provider such as booking.com and Expedia, it is important to register correct card information during payment. Incorrect card number etc. with 3rd party providers may result in them not being charged for the stay, thus cancelling the reservation.

CUSTOMER'S DISPOSITION OF THE ACCOMMODATION ROOMS
The accommodation unit may only be used for residential and overnight stays, and may only be used by the customer. Subletting of the rental property is not permitted. All forms of commercial activity are prohibited. WH reserves the right to refuse check-in to persons under the age of 18. Pets and indoor smoking are not allowed under any circumstances.

Check-in can take place no earlier than 3 pm on the agreed start date for the period of use. Check-out must take place by 11 am on the agreed end date for the period of use. The apartment/room cannot be used beyond this time unless otherwise agreed with WH. Late check-out without agreement will be charged 100% of the 24-hour rate without reservation. The customer must take all personal belongings with them when checking out. Late check-out and/or early check-in can be ordered on request for an additional cost of NOK 200.

The customer must take care of the accommodation and common areas with due care and maintain the property in generally good condition. The customer must notify WH immediately if damage to the property is discovered. The customer must give WH access to the accommodation for cleaning and other necessary maintenance. The customer is obliged to familiarize himself with the fire instructions that are posted in each accommodation. The customer must also act in accordance with the house rules that are in force at any time. WH does not allow parties in the apartments, and our security service has the right to evict any resident who violates these regulations.

WH reserves the right to deny entry or terminate a tenancy, without refund of cost, for any guest/resident who creates a disturbance, does not comply with the house rules, or who does not comply with Norwegian law.
WH offers free Wi-Fi and Chromecast to all our residents. The offer is a free service that does not give the right to claim.

WH'S DUTIES
WH shall ensure that the accommodation is cleaned every fifth calendar day. In the case of long-term rentals (30 days +), the room is cleaned every 7th day. WH shall also ensure that the accommodation is cleaned upon each check-out.

WH shall keep the accommodation insured. WH shall not be liable for any damage, costs or losses that may arise from burglary, fire, smoke, power outages, water damage or other causes. In this regard, the customer agrees that WH shall be held harmless. Residents are encouraged to take out home/travel insurance, and must report any theft and/or damage themselves.

CANCELLATION
All cancellations and changes to a reservation must be sent in writing to post@wh.no to be considered valid*.

Cancellation and change of stay 1-7 days
Cancellation or change later than 24 hours before check-in (3:00 PM) will be charged in full with up to/maximum 3 days. In the event of an unannounced no-show, the booking will be charged in full – 100% of the stay.

Cancellation and change of stay 7-90 days
Cancellation or modification later than 7 days before the date of arrival will be charged in full. according to the agreed price for the entire stay.
*Any reservation made via a 3rd party provider such as booking.com, Expedia, hotels.com owned by the relevant supplier. Cancellation and/or change of such reservations cannot be made to WH – only to the supplier. There are also separate cancellation terms for bookings made via 3rd party suppliers.

Stays that are discounted with the use of a discount or promotional code are non-refundable and therefore cannot be cancelled.

DEFAULT
If the accommodation does not comply with the agreed terms, the customer must notify WH within a reasonable time after the matter is discovered. Delayed complaints result in the loss of any default sanctions.

If the customer breaches their obligations under the agreement, WH may deactivate the customer's access code, terminate the agreement and initiate check-out with immediate effect without refund of the remaining amount for further stay. Default is considered to be, payment default, causing damage to the property*, breach of house rules, violation of Norwegian law or other use that is considered contrary to the agreement.

*If the guest causes damage to the hotel property beyond normal wear and tear, the guest is financially responsible for the repair. The hotel reserves the right to collect the costs either by sending an invoice or by charging the guest's registered payment card.

All rooms/apartments and common areas are non-smoking, and violations will be fined NOK 5,000. Pets are not allowed in the apartments/rooms, and violations of this will result in an additional cost for cleaning.

Upon check-out, the rooms/apartments must be handed over in a well-maintained condition. The customer must wash up any used kitchen equipment themselves. In the event of careless use that requires extra cleaning or descaling, this will be charged directly to the customer.

The customer accepts that WH will receive a deposit on all belongings left in the accommodation unit after check-out. If WH considers that the belongings have limited economic value, WH is free to dispose of the belongings without notice.

GARBAGE
We follow the Norwegian Environment Agency's requirements for waste sorting. Our guests are obliged to sort their waste into the correct waste bin in their room. Food waste, cardboard, plastic waste and residual waste.
